Technically, if you are an adjunct faculty, or maybe even a graduate-student teaching assistant, and you teach, or research/work a certain number of hours over a couple of terms per year, plus keep office hours, you could be eligible for employer-mandated health coverage under the Affordable Care Act, but adjuncts could also be limited to how many hours they can work (insidehighered.com).
Limits to how much teaching one adjunct can do per year misses the point of higher education.
One question must be answered:
What is the future of adjunct work?
